Mira Mesa Branch Library provides many helpful resources for students, teachers, and families. Their goals are to enhance their educational journey and promote lifelong learning and success.
The best perk is that they are all free for the community. A library card is not required to participate in the program. In addition to books, San Diego Public Library is dedicated to reducing the digital divide through the “San Diego Access 4 All.” Through “San Diego Access 4 All,” members have access to free Wi-Fi, free use of computers, free laptops to borrow for in-library use, and hotspots to checkout.
A valid San Diego Public Library card is required to view and check out materials in printed and/or digital formats, but other resources do not require a library card. Students and their families may apply for a library card in person at the library or online. A partnership between the SD Public Library and our school district sent Excel student library cards home to make it easier for students to access free resources.
The resources are available in printed and digital formats. The library presents a variety of programs, including homework assistance, Chess Club, story times, STEAM programs, graphic novel book club, the Admit One program (free test preparation and college preparation), and volunteer opportunities.
